Quite an old Dhaba near district court and DM office of Dehradun it has earned a name for itself by maintaining quality and taste for more than fifty years .
I ordered for Sarson ka saag and Makke di roti and it was minimalistic in terms of look but very good in taste . The traditional flavour with no extravagant flavouring and garnishing which you will see in the modern age dine ins.
Makke ki roti was crispy but had enough softness and tasted very good.
This is no fine dine place but a classical dhaba of bygone times and the owner perhaps on purpose has retained it's old looks . The dining area was very neat and clean and serving was very hygenic.
All in all a very impressive taste and quality which is worth enjoying for travellers coming to Doon .
I had ordered amritsari thali; it consisted of two kulchas: rajma, chole, paneer ki sabji, bundi ka raita, and kheer. I must say, this was the tastiest thali I've ever had in a restaurant. The kulcha was so delicious that I ordered an extra kulcha. The kheer felt like it was homemade, with the perfect amount of sugar, milk, and rice. Even the rajma and chole were worth it.The staff is prompt, and the menu is really affordable. I definitely recommend it.
